is the following statement true or false? every diameter of a circle has a chord. justify your answer using what you know about diameters and chords. your teacher will review your answer to make sure you receive proper credit
True. Because a diameter is just a line that goes through the whole circle, while it goes passed the middle of the circle.
Can somebody please check my work?

I get your idea, but
(a) a diameter does not have a chord -- it is a chord
(b) "passes through the whole circle" doesn't really mean anything.
Your second statement could probably be worded more clearly -- the diameter is a line which passes through the center of the circle, and intersects the circle on both ends.

I would say every diameter of a circle IS a chord. Diameters are the LONGEST chords of a circle.
