Wow, I'm guessing you did not pay attention in class huh (no offense)

For the sake of conciseness, I will only put answers.

1. v + (v/3 + m)

2. 2y - y/3

3. (x + y)/4

4. L represents the number of people who want large drinks
M represents the number of people who want medium drinks
2.5L + 2M + 1(2M) or 2.5L + 4M

5. I need the table

Hope this helps!

Week Turtles
Week 1 4
Week 2 2
Week 3 2
Week 4 2

Okay, so just multiply each turtle cared for by 25 (dollars, we don't use units until the end) and add it all up.

We could simply put it as:
(25 x 4) + (25 x 2) + (25 x 2) + (25 x 2)

Using the Distributive Property (tell me if you don't know this property) we will do:
= 25(4 + 2 + 2 +2)
= 25(10)
= 25 x 10
= 250 dollars
1. Ethan v

Kyle v/3+m

TOTAL v+v/3+m

That total is 4v/3+m.

And here comes more waiting...
4. The description is incomplete. Not known how many of the group want large drinks and not known, how many people are in the group.

Size PRICE HOW MANY COST

LARGE 2.5 L 2.5L

MEDIUM 2.0 m 2m

SMALL 1.0 2m 2m

Total money spent is 2.5L+4m dollars.

@Jeremy
I'm not sure where you got that 4v. Shouldn't that have been 2v?

@Jeremy
Look, expression can have variables. Don't know something? Put a variable!

thanks man.
Answered by bettermathhelper
So, do you know what on Earth is the Distributive property?
Answered by bettermathhelper
You're welcome
2. Math translation is this expression

2y - (1/3)x.

Let the number of Ethan’s video games = v
Let the number of Kyle’s video games = 1/3v + m
Total number of video games = v + 1/3v + m
= 3v+v/3 + m
= 4/3v + m
Total number of video games = 4/3v + m
