U can still use this method too: step by step: 2^x=4x,then divide both side by 4,you get; 2^x/4=x,then 2^x-2=x. Then look for antilog of x by using try and error. Hence, we find x=4. Then 2^4-2=4,by prove l.h.s=r.h.s. Then, 2^2=4. 4=4. There4,x=4. Hope this will be helpful.
