Two blocks of masses m1 = 4.5 kg, m2 = 6.5 kg resting on a frictionless area connected by a light inextensible cord as shown. A horizontal force F of 33 N directed to the right is applied to mm1 as shown. Find:(a) The acceleration of masses (b) The tension T in the cord?

as shown??
the total mass is ... 4.5 + 6.5 = 11 kg
(a) a = f / m = 33 / 11 = ? m/s^2
(b) the tension is the force necessary to give m2 an acceleration
... equal to the system acceleration
