I have no idea what " standard form " is but
14x + 2 - 5(x - 4) - 6x
= (14 - 5 - 6) x + 2 + 20
= 3 x + 22

14x + 2 - 5(x - 4) - 6x
= (14 - 5 - 6) x + 2 + 20
= 3 x + 22
