What do you mean what would you do if you were in WWII? I was in my first year at Punahou School in Honolulu when the bombs fell. I was playing in the yard before breakfast. My mother and I drove up to a friend's house in the mountains. My father went to his ship. A destroyer escort was named after him.

Yes, after my mother and I flew to California in January 1942 we lived with ration books and in fact put the car up on blocks and used the bus when necessary. We lived near the coast so had blackouts as well, no lights showing at night..
