1^1/4 is 1 to the 1/4 power which is in fact 1 because 1*1*1*1 = 1

So, it's 28 * ( 1.2) = 35 + 7 = 42 ft
so, 42 = 7h
h = 6

1 1/4 = 1.25

and
28 * ( 1.2) = 33.6 not 42
