say density = D = 2000 kilograms / meter^3
say volume = V = 4 meters^3
then to get mass in kilograms:
m = (2000 kilograms/meter^3) * 4 meters ^3
the meters^3 cancel top and bottom and I have
m = 8000 kilograms
