since you are lifting it, that implies you are working against gravity
so it's the weight that makes it hard to lift.

But the mass/gravity combination is what gives it its weight. Things are hard to move at all, even in the absence of gravity, if they have a lot of mass.
The Right Answer is D: weight

Think about weights, they are heavy because it has a lot of weight.

But mass and gravity are what gives its weight.

Remember, gravity pulls things to the center of the earth.

Answer key IS correct however, it is not D for my test. I know it may b different depending on who is doing it but yes, Weight is correct.

yes, they would still be balanced because their masses would not change.

the scale was designed to use the person’s weight on earth to tell him his mass.

m=D x V
