Zee's Yogurt is trying to see whether certain new flavors, toppings, and sauces will be popular enough to release nationwide. So they offer a local deal: buy any of the following yogurts and get 1 topping and 1 sauce for free. The current selection includes 3 types of yogurt, 2 types of toppings and 5 types of sauces. Based on this information how many possible combinations of yogurt. toppings, and sauces can I get from this deal?

Based on the course catalog, UC Berkeley offers 15 science majors, 9 arts majors, and 12 math majors. What is the probability that a new student randomly picks a major which is not a math major?
Answered by oobleck
15+9+12 = 36 possible majors
15+9 = 24 not math
so, P(~math) = 24/36
