H2SO4(l) + 2NaCl(s) ==> 2HCl(g) + Na2SO4
DON'T TRY THIS ON YOUR OWN.
The general rule in making small quantities of an acid is to take a high boiling point acid, such as H2SO4, add a salt of the desired acid that has a lower boiling point, and distill the desired acid, WITH CAUTION. This is not for the faint of heart. Hot concentrated H2SO4 is not something to play with.
