What is the 18th term in the following sequence?
{0.125, 0.25, 0.5, 1, ...}

changing your numbers to fractions ....
0.125, 0.25, 0.5, 1, ...
= 1/8, 1/4/, 1/2, 1,
it looks like a GS with a = 1/8 and r = 2
so term(8) = ar^7 = (1/8)(2^7) = 16
