Show that the vectors u = (3,2) and v = (1,6) can form basis vectors for the xy plane.

they are order two which is right for x y plane but are they better not be parallel to each other?
for u, tan angle to x axis = slope = 2/3
for v slope = 6
so any vector in the x y plane can be written as a combination of u and v
