From a barrel of colored marbles, you randomly select 1 blue, 6 yellow, 7 red, 4 green, and 6 purple marbles.
Find the experimental probability of randomly selecting either a green or a purple marble. (:

The wording of this question makes it impossible.
Perhaps you mean you pick either a green or a purple from a barrel containing:
1 blue, 6 yellow, 7 red, 4 green, and 6 purple marbles
which is 24 in total
prob that it is green = 4/24
prob that it is purple = 6/24
sum = 10/24 = 5/12
