Samantha has a ribbon that is 14/15 yards long. She wants to cut the ribbon into pieces that are each 3/5 yards long. How many pieces of ribbon will she have?

(14/15) / (3/5)
= (14/15) / ( 9/15)
= 14 / 9 = 1 5/9
so only one and 5/9 left over to wrap presents next year.
Note 14/15 is less than a yard
3/5 is greater than half a yard
