The United States is the largest exporter of wheat. Canada is the second-largest. Today there are fewer Canadian farms. How is it possible that the number of farms has decreased but the Prairie Provinces continue produce most of Canada’s wheat?
A. Large corporate farms have replaced small family farms, and new technologies have helped increase crops. ***
B. Canada now imports the majority of the wheat the country needs.
C. Smaller family farms have replaced large corporate farms.
D. The size of farms in Canada has grown significantly and new technology has decreased their crop production.
I think it's A, because crops can still be produced. It's just a matter of how they're distributed and how they're handled. New technology and producer's can take advantage of their stock.
