A bottle of HCl is labelled 2M. What mass in grams of HCl would be found to dissolve 500cm^3 of the solution?

2M of the HCl dissolves in 1000cm3, 500cm3 will dissolve in 1M of HCl.
(Converting to grams,)
Mass conc.=mol x molar mass =1x36.5=36.5g.( I got this as answer but just want to confirm if it's correct or not.)
