A pole is painted white, orange, and purple in the ratio 6:2:1. The section of the pole that is painted white is 30 inches long. What is the length of the pole?

2 answers

6:2:1 = 30:10:5
so the pole is 30+10+5 = 45 inches long
white 5 5 5 5 5 5

orange 5 5

purple 5

30 / 6 = 5

9 * 5 = 45 inches

I counted all the fives I did not add them I counted all of them and there were 9 of them so thats how I got 9.
