They were painting a huge mural at Los Amigos School. They started on Monday and finished on Friday, when they painted 12 feet. Each day they painted 2 1/2 more feet than the day before. How many feet long was the mural?

I really need help on this

All I know is that you have 2.5 more feet and 12 feet, I don't really know what you need to do.

So Monday-Friday you already painted 12 feet. Each day that they painted, they painted 2.5 feet more than the day before.
Answered by Lex
That possibly means that:
Monday: 2.5 Feet
Tuesday: 5 feet
Wednesday: 7.5 Feet
Thursday: 10 Feet
Friday: 12.5 Feet
I don't know what it means by mural yet.

Oh wait, mural is from the thing that the person is painting xD

To get 12.5, you just have to keep on adding and adding 2.5 to the day before, and the reason that you have to keep adding 2.5 is that the question says that each day, they painted 2 1/2 (which is 2.5) more feet than the day before.

Also, if this was from a test, can you please send what answers are on the question, please? If you show answers of it, then that's a better way to help, not trying to cheat but to help.

I know how to do this one

2 1/2 x 12 = 30

There are 5 days in Monday - Friday

30 + 5 = 35

35 days
