3 times as many children signed up for the math class than for the web design class. In order to have 12 children in each class, some children were asked to move from math to web design. How many children were asked to move?

Total = 12 * 2 = 24 children for both classes. One class originally had 3/4 or 18 children while the other had 6. Now can you tell how many had to move?
