not sure what "<_" means, but if you meant ≤, then
2(2x+4) ≤ 7x+6
4x+8 ≤ 7x+6
now subtract 4x+6 from both sides and you have
2 ≤ 3x
2/3 ≤ x
or, you could have proceeded as
4x+8 ≤ 7x+6
-3x ≤ -2
x ≥ 2/3
Note that multiplying by a negative is the same as moving things to the other side, or changing the direction of the inequality.
