A parabola F intercepts the x-axis at B and C and y-axis at E
The axis of symmetry of the parabola has equation of x=3. The line through E and C has equation g(x)=×/2 - 7/2
Show that the coordinates of C are (7:0)

since the axis of symmetry is x=3,
y = a(x-3)^2 + k
since the line through C and E passes through (0,-7/2) and (7,0)
E = -7/2 and C = 7
the symmetry means that B = -1
y = a(x-3)^2 + k
since the line through C and E passes through (0,-7/2) and (7,0)
E = -7/2 and C = 7
the symmetry means that B = -1
