Miss Hapse is sailing a remote controlled model boat downstream in the Niagara river. She discovers that at full speed the model can cover 1128 feet in 2 minutes. Suddenly she realizes that the boat is only 240 feet from the falls! She turns it around and runs it at top speed in the other direction. But it is a losing battle. As the boat goes over the falls, she observes that 5 minutes passed since it was turned around. How fast did the boat move through the water? How fast was the water flowing?

time = distance/speed, so
240/(1128/2 - x) = 5
240/(1128/2 - x) = 5
