Find the length of a segment point joining the endpoint (-1.8) & (4.-16).

using your distance formula, that would be
√((4+1)^2 + (-16-8)^2) = √(5^2+24^2) = √601
not quite sure what a "segment point" is ...
and coordinates are usually written using commas instead of periods.
