really? Just multiply the tops and bottoms. I'll do one more for you
6 * 2 1/5
= 6/1 * 11/5
6*11 = 66
1*5 = 5
so the result is 66/5 = 13 1/5
Or, you can use the distributive property and do things the hard way.
6 * 2 1/5 = 6 * (2 + 1/5)
= 6*2 + 6 * 1/5
= 12 + 6/5
= 12 + 1 1/5
= 13 1/5
6 * 2 1/5
= 6/1 * 11/5
6*11 = 66
1*5 = 5
so the result is 66/5 = 13 1/5
