Robots at the Galactic Workshop had 24 widgets to build. 1/4 of the widgets were green 1/2 of the remaining widgets were blue. The rest of the widgets were yellow. How many yellow widgets were built?

6 because half of 24 is 12 and it is the quarter remaining.

i don't think 6 is the correct answer.
24 to build.
1/4 are green so 1/4 x 24 = 6 green.
REMAINING to build is 24 - 6 = 18
1/2 of the REMAINING is 1/2 x 18 = 9 will be blue
blue + green = 9 + 6 = 15
widgets to be yellow = 24- 15 = 9

ya because it says HALF THE REMAINING. sorry that's my fault for not reading the problem throughly. hopefully you didn't say 6.
