simplify

tan(sin^-1(x))=
please explain the steps and how this can be applied to other similar problems

1 answer

since sinθ = x, cosθ = √(1-x^2.)
tanθ = sinθ/cosθ = x/√(1-x^2)
or, using geometry,
Draw a right triangle with leg opposite θ = x and hypotenuse = 1
The adjacent leg is thus √(1-x^2) making
tanθ = x/√(1-x^2)
