first you multiply 8 x 60 to get the amount of minutes levi had while trimming the trees which would get you 480 minutes then you just add the 40 minutes he had while bagging the trimming which would bring your total to 520 minutes.

If he worked 8 hours, and you need to convert to minutes, you multiply by 60.
8 x 60 = 480
480 + 40(the minutes he took to bag everything up) = 520
520 minutes
