Let X = number of pieces of the bread.
8X = 2 loaves
X = 2/8 loaf = 1/4 loaf for 8 people.
Check. 1/4 loaf each person times 8 persons = 2 loaves

If the whole class makes only 2 loaves for 8 people, then each persons get 2/8 = 1/4 loaf
