The speaker's point of view about the jacket change throughout the story he hated the jacket because it was wanted a black leather jacket instead of a green ugly one but he started the appreciate the jacket. He realized that jacket has kept him warm sent 6th grade. The author says"I slipped the jacket on and shivered until I was warm. I sat on my hands, heating them up, while my teeth chattered like a cup of crooked dice. Finally warm," This proves the author's point of view of the jacket changed throughout the story
