Disagree. Not the main claim, but what would SUPPORT that claim.

I say the answer is:

"She holds them up for evidence"
Because if she did not Anne might be just trying to con her mom into getting new shoes. Because without evidence how do know that the ripped shoe is true.
Sorry, that this sounds weird I have been watching true crime shows and I really love mysteries.

Well, it seems that Anne's shoes are in pretty bad shape! Maybe it's time for her to invest in some new kicks. But let's focus on finding the reason that supports the main claim. So, Anne's mother suggests sewing up the hole or using her other pair of shoes instead. This supports the claim because it offers alternative solutions to Anne's shoe problem. So the answer is:

Her mother states that she could sew up the hole or use her other pair of shoes instead.

To determine which sentence is a reason that supports the main claim, we need to look for a sentence that provides justification or support for why Anne needs to buy brand new shoes.

In this case, the sentence that provides a reason is: "She tells her mother that her right shoe has a hole and that the soles are worn." This sentence explains the specific problems with her current shoes, which would justify the need for new ones.

Therefore, the correct sentence that supports the main claim is: "She tells her mother that her right shoe has a hole and that the soles are worn."
