I assume that "e" means exponent, as in xe3 = x^3
In that case, since (1+x)^4 = 1+4x+6x^2+4x^3+x^4
then the x^3 term in (1+cx)(1+x)^4 will be
(4+6c)x^3
In that case, since (1+x)^4 = 1+4x+6x^2+4x^3+x^4
then the x^3 term in (1+cx)(1+x)^4 will be
(4+6c)x^3
