Can someone tell me the vertical and horizontals of these two questions.
y= |x-3|-3 y=|x-1|+4

these graphs have no verticals or horizontals.
They are both v-shaped.
However, if you consider the parent function to be y = |x| then
y = |x-3|-3 is shifted right 3, down 3
y = |x-1|+4 is shifted right 1, up 4

In general, a graph is shifted right by h and up by k if its equation is
y-k = f(x-h)
