PQR is a triangle inscribed in a circle
the arcs intercepted by the angles are all minor ... less than 180º
this means that the angles are all less than 90º ... acute angles

If segment PR is a diameter of the circle, then angle Q is a right angle.
So if P or R is closer to Q, angle Q is greater than 90 degrees.
