Vince usually takes 5 1/2 h to drive from Kamloops to Banff. Because of a snowfall, the driv took Vince 8 1/4 h one day. How many times as long as usual was the drive that day?.

8.25 / 5.5 = 1.5
or
8 1/4 = 33/4
5 1/2 = 11/2
then 33/4 / 11/2 = 33/4 / 22/4 = 33/22 = 1 11/22 = 1 1/2
