South Africa gained its independence from Britain in 1910. Why did this not lead to freedom and equality in South Africa? you dont have to answer but pls do

Because the S.A. leaders were white racists. There was someone else who asked this qeustion and this was someones answer I wasnt trying to steal it I just wanted to help out cause u needed an answer.
