If I solved an equation with the quadratic formula (below)then got my answer (below), how would I answer this correctly and how would I come up with this answer?

2x^2 +3 = 7x

answer:
x = 7 plus or minus 5/ 4

2x^2 - 7x + 3 = 0

(2x - 1) (x - 3) = 0

2x - 1 = 0 ... x = 1/2

x - 3 = 0 ... x = 3

The Quadratic Formula says that
x = (7±√(49-24))/(2*2) = (7±√25)/4 = (7±5)/4
