Question

Find the simplest form for the following fraction?
(14x^2 y)/(2)
My book says that the answer is (2x)/(9y) and I got an answer as 7x^2 y. Y is separate from 2 so it is not 2y. Please help ASAP! :(

The only way it can be (2x)/(9y) is to have started with something like
(4x^2 y)/(18xy^2)
The alleged answer is bogus.
