On the moon the acceleration of free fall is only about 1.6m/s. About how high should a boy be able to throw a ball there if he can throw it 10m high on earth(g=10m/s^2)

1.6m/s^2 you mean !!!

MGH = .5 M V^2
10* 10 = .5 V^2
V^2 = 200
if same speed at hand v = V
m g h = .5 m v^2
1.6 h = .5 *200
h = 100 /1.6
