so, you have 2.4mol * 111g/mol = 266.4 g

typo? I assume you meant moles and not miles.
1 mole CaCl2 = about 111 g; i.e.,
Ca = 40
Cl = 2*35.5 = 71
71 + 40 = 111
so 2 moles would be 222 grams
