A cylindrical pipe 28m long. Its internal radius is 3.5cm and external radius is 5cm. Calculate the volume in cm of metal used in making the pipe (2) the volume of water in metres that the pipe can hold.

since the area of a circle is πr^2, the volume of metal is
2800π(5^2 - 3.5^2) = 112,154 cm^3
the water volume (inside only) is 28π*0.035^2 = 0.11 m^3
