So I'm trying to figure out an example of an open equation. I know that it is an equation that has two mathematical expressions that both come to the same answer. So, would 0x=0 be an open equation? Because any number you put as x would make the product 0.

A true equation is always true; something like 3=2+1
a false equation is never true, as 3 = 2-1
an open equation is sometimes true, depending on the value of the unknown, as 2x = 6, where it is true only if x=3
Your equation is true for any value of x, so it is not open.
