A trapezium has two parallel sides of length 6cm and 8cm. if the area is 2cm. find the distance between the parallel lines.

area of trap = (1/2)(sum of parallel sides)(d), where d is the distance between them

2 = (1/2)(6+8)(d)
d = 2*2/14 = 2/7 cm
