If that is supposed to be
1/2 ÷ 1/2
then recall that to divide by a fraction, you invert it and multiply. So, now you have
1/2 * 2/1 = 2/2 = 1
should have been obvious that when you divide anything (except 0) by itself, the result is just 1.

First, put 1/2 divided by 1/2. Next, put 1/2 divided by 2/1. After you do this find a number that goes both in 2 and 2 which would be 2. 2 goes once in 2 so then you would change 1/2 to 1/1 and 2/1 to 1/1. Multiply 1/1 by 1/1 and you get 1!
