l am two digit number. My tens digit is double of my ones digit .The sum of my digit is nine?

1 answer

Let the digits be a, and b.

Your number is x.

x = 10 a + b

My tens digit is double of my ones digit means:

a = 2 b

Now:

The sum of my digit is nine means:

a + b = 9

Replace a with 2 b in this equation.

2 b + b = 9

3 b = 9

b = 9 / 3

b = 3

a = 2 b = 2 ∙ 3 = 6

x = 10 a + b

x = 10 ∙ 6 + 3 = 60 + 3 = 63

Your number is 63
