Well do percentage. percent is mostly related to 100. so let's double the amount of fish caught all together. to make it 100 that you caught so that means you caught 28 trout..so you have to find 28% of 7500
How many 100s make 7500? 75
so multiply 75×28= 2100(2100 would be 28% of 7500)
now remember we doubled to get an easy%.
Now divide 2100÷2= 1050
estimate of trout 1050

Use proportions.
(14/50) = (x/7500) or
14 trout of 50 fish = 28% and 0.28 x 7500 = 2100.
