assuming that "10 times smaller" means "1/10 as big" then
1/10 * 600 = 60
1/10 * 600 = 60

ooblek can assume anything he wants but the answer o the question from a reality/math/English standpoint the answer is - 5400 irrespective of any extraneous assumptions.
1 times smaller is 600 - (1*600) =0
2 times smaller is 600 - (2*600) = -600
3 times smaller is 600 - (3*600) = -1200
