Suppose that a ball is dropped (Vi=0 ) from a tower 60 m high. How far will the ball have after 1 second? How far will the ball have fallen after 3 seconds?

so plug in you numbers. After t seconds the ball has fallen 4.9t^2 meters.
Note that the height of the tower does not matter, unless the ball has hit the ground in the meantime.
