you need to review the order of operations: PEMDAS
First Parentheses, using the other rules
6 * 0.5 = 3
That gives you
6 * 3^2 + 3
Next, Exponents: 6*9+3
Next Multiply/Divide left to right: 54+3
Last, Add/Subtract, left to right: 57
