If not, here are some suggestions.
Determine its color. Determine its phase (solid, liquid, gas). Determine its density. All of those are physical properties (not chemical properties) but the physical properties will not destroy the integrity of the sample.

the answers for the test are 1;cornstarch 2;heat things up 3;water 4 the correct answer is : option D. The test was inconclusive because he forgot to add heat.
